Federico Kasik, violin

​

Federico Kasik was born on November 3, 1984 near Frankfurt/Main, Germany. He received violin lessons from the age of 4. From 1994 on he was taught in Lviv and Kiev(Ukraine) by Prof. Igor Pylatjuk. In 2007 he graduated from the State Academy of Music in Lviv with distinction as the best of the year. From this time on, as a assistant of his teacher, Federico began regularly to teach. From 2008 to 2010, Federico Kasik studied at the University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber" Dresden in the master class of Prof. Ivan Zenaty and hold a scholarship of the Saxon Ministry of Culture. Since 2000 he has performed as a soloist in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Austria and Switzerland with, among others, the Lviv Philharmonic, the Donetsk Philharmonic, the Grand Symphony Orchestra of the Kiev State Philharmonic and with the Chamber Orchestra of the National Academy in Kiev . Federico Kasik is the winner of the International Lyssenko Competition 2002 and the Carl Flesch Competition 2003. Since spring 2011, Federico Kasik has held the post of Associate Concertmaster of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, one of the worlds leading orchestras. Furthermore he teaches at the „Giuseppe Sinopoli orchestra academy“ of his orchestra Federico Kasik plays an instrument by Francesco Gobetti from 1707.
